Description
Lotte Løvholm is an independent curator and editor based in Copenhagen who runs art space Collega. With a background in critical theory she relates art to contemporary culture and cultural history. She often collaborates with other curators and artists as a way of acknowledging blind spots and valuing colleagues in her freelance life. Lottes practice is situated between intense digging in archives and more extrovert related activities. She values long-term work relationships, often bordering on friendships.
Her research-based projects take the form of exhibitions, performance art programmes, articles and publications. She runs the interview series Living Archives / Levende arkiver at Bastard Performance Art Journal. Former and recent partners include Kunsthal Aarhus, Malmö Konstmuseum, Kunsthal Charlottenborg, Tensta konsthall, ARoS Aarhus Art Museum, Arken Museum of Modern Art and 1.1 Basel. She is part of Nikolaj Kunsthal's selection committee (2022-2024) at PLATFORM.
Lotte is a postgraduate of CuratorLab from Konstfack â University of Arts, Crafts and Design (2019). She holds an MA in Modern Culture (2014) and a BA in Theatre Research (2011) both from University of Copenhagen.
