Description
Originally from Switzerland, Catherine Bodmer has a degree from the School of Art of Lucerne in Switzerland and earned a masters degree in visual arts from the Université du Québec à Montréal in 1999. Over the last ten years, Catherine Bodmer has been actively involved in artist-run centres and was the artistic coordinator at La Centrale/Powerhouse Gallery (1999-2002) and at articule (2004-2009) in Montreal. Catherine Bodmer's art practice includes installations, site-specific works and photography that have been presented in several individual and group exhibitions throughout Canada, as well as in Mexico and Taiwan. In 2008, Catherine Bodmer received the Duke and Duchess of York Price of Photography of the Canada Council for the Arts.
